What’s on: Marilynn Webb- Works from the Dunedin Public Art Gallery Collection
To 17 June
The artistic practice of influential New Zealand artist and printmaker Marilynn Webb is reviewed in a show featuring selected works from three decades of Webb’s career since the 1970s. Sourced from the Dunedin Art Gallery’s collection, the exhibition traverses themes of land, ecology, politics, women in art, and Maori and post-colonialism.
It includes the artist’s high-profile pastel and print series focusing on remote and fragile environments in the South Island including Lake Mahinerangi, the Ida Valley, Fiordland and Rakiura (Stewart Island). dunedin.art.museum
