Plastic wrap on magazines: Take part in our home composting survey

We’re looking at alternatives to soft plastic but we need to hear from you. Take part in our survey about home composting and be in to win  a $250 Bunnings vouch-er and a year’s subscription to the NZ magazine of your choice.

Your copy of NZ Life & Leisure magazine comes to you in a plastic wrap that can be recycled in the Love NZ Soft Plastics scheme. This is currently the best way we can protect your magazine during the mailing process and keep it safe from the weather. Is this the best solution for our environment going forward? We’re not sure – but we’re doing our best to look at alternatives as part of a magazine industry initiative.

We’re exploring all the options – improved recycling options, home compostable alternatives. There’s no one perfect answer, but to help the New Zealand magazine industry identify the best-possible solution, we’ve worked with resource recovery experts WasteMINZ on a reader survey. We want to know what recycling and composting choices you have at your place, and what works best for your lifestyle. Take a few minutes now to do the survey below.

Your answers will help us make good, informed decisions about this complicated issue. The survey closes on March 31, and all entries will go into the draw to win a $250 Bunnings vouch-er and a year’s subscription to the NZ magazine of your choice.
