Save the date: Enjoy an art-filled day out at the 7th annual Kerikeri Open Art Studios Trail over Auckland Anniversary weekend

Visit the Bay of Islands over Auckland Anniversary weekend for an exciting (and free) day of open studios, galleries and incredible artwork for sale.

Many talented New Zealand artists call Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands home. That’s why each year the Kerikeri Open Art Studios Trail (KOAST) invites visitors and art collector’s to come and enjoy their talent over Auckland Anniversary weekend, 29-31 January 2022.

The Kerikeri Open Art Studios Trail offers visitors a wonderful artistic experience. Visiting the exhibitors in their studios can really give a unique and interesting perspective on a place and add greatly to its attraction. Visitors attending the artist’s studios and galleries, help to support artists in their chosen profession. Visiting their studios enables artists to grow their customer base, and sell their artwork directly to art lovers and other interested parties. Each artist has something very special to offer a visitor.

So, do join us in the North – take a leisurely drive through the beauty of Kerikeri and the Bay of Islands, and discover our artists in their creative environments. You could couple this experience with a weekend getaway, and a visit to one of the many boutique restaurants, cafes or wineries in the area.

FOLLOW THE TRAIL

The Kerikeri Art Trail gives trail goers the chance to discover local artists creating and selling their original work. The trail itself is free and is marked with flags, signs and numbers but you will need a trail guide (only $5) with the map and a wrist band to find the studios. The guide also has a little description about each artist. Bring a car-load of art lovers, and enjoy a day out!
