What’s On: Entries now open for Saint Clair Vineyard Half
Marlborough’s picturesque vineyard running event will host a new 12km race on 9 May, 2020.
New Zealand’s original vineyard running event, the Saint Clair Vineyard Half, will expand in 2020, with the creation of a new race course and category, The Appleby Farms V12.
The annual May event will now include a new 12 kilometre race. The course will begin at The Vines Village in Rapaura and traverse some of the country’s most picturesque vineyards, finishing at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen.
The Marlborough event is the most unique, social and picturesque half marathon in New Zealand. The event began in 2007 and now attracts 4,000 entrants to Marlborough every year in May. The race includes the following categories:
Saint Clair Vineyard Half Marathon
The 21km course winds through private vineyards, up over stop banks and along the banks of the Wairau River. The majority of the course is off-road and flat. The race begins and finishes at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen in Rapaura, Marlborough.
Enter to run, hybrid (a mix of running and walking) or walk the 21km course.
Appleby Farms V12
The 12km course is off-road and mainly flat, winding through private vineyards. The race begins at The Vines Village on Rapaura Road and finishes at the Saint Clair Vineyard Kitchen.
