Free knitting pattern: Make a colourful seesaw knit scarf


Brighten up a dreary day with a scarf bursting with colourful triangles.

Makes a scarf that is approx 23cm wide x 152.5cm long

• ‘Caron x Pantone’ 100g braids: Version 1 or Version 2 – Spicy Blooms (01014) x 2, Blueberry (01009) x 2
• 6mm needles or size needed for correct tension

TENSION

15 sts and 26 rows to 10 cm over garter stitch using 6mm needles.

INSTRUCTIONS

Before working with Caron x Pantone multishade yarn braid, separate each color link and wind into 5 separate balls. Each color link will be referenced by its Pantone™ color # (see label).

Due to finite amount of yarn in each shade, pattern tension must be matched to ensure successful results.

1. First triangle

With Color 1 (as indicated in chart), cast on 34 sts.

**1st row – (RS). Knit.
2nd row – Knit.
3rd row – K32. W&T.
4th and alt rows – Knit.
5th row – K30. W&T.

3. Third triangle

With Color 3, work from ** to ** as given for First Triangle. Break Color 3.

Join Color 4 (as indicated in chart).

4. Fourth triangle

With Color 4, work from *** to *** as given for Second Triangle. Break Color 4. Join Color 5 (as indicated in chart). Cont as established, following Chart for color changes until 20 Triangles have been worked.

With Color 20, cast off.
